here, and as I have noticed this section is going to get quite big. So I will have to

March 15th, 2000 I was on my way to a 10,000 mile service today (though I had only 9,915 miles on it), and wouldnt you know it, i pulled alongside a Civic SI. He preceded to rev his engine, (I guess an invite to a race ? ?). Well, of course I bounced it off the rev limiter and bang, i bolted (leaving him back quite a way). Enough said, I won. However, that was not the only thing that went bang. I heard the famous subaru (bang) from underneath, and needless to say, it will be a long time till my next dump-of-clutch, fore this time it was, well....loud. (and what Suby needs to prove himself to a Civic SI anyway?). So, down the road I headed and pulled into the my local dealership (dirty car and all). There was about 4-5 people standing around, some customers, some employees, just looking at my car. I got a great compliment from my service manager on the decal job. Ah, I had a big smile on my face. Though I realized I never put the stock parts back on my (modified half/ass) intake job...(do you think they noticed?). Everything went fine, oil changed and yes, i was $26 poorer. March 16th, 2000 A major landmark for the Impreza today, the big 10000 mile mark (in only 4.5 months). To me, thats alot of miles when you consider I work 40hrs a week, and have maybe a 20 mile round trip to work and back. Oh well, thats what I bought it for, to drive. I informed the dealer that my back left side window (the smaller one), rattled a little bit. Well, Normally you can just turn the radio up, but that makes it rattle even more...hmm. **still waiting on my Stromung Exhaust... March 20th, 2000 I was cruising at the local circuit today, and sitting next to me at a red light, was a Supra TT. If thats not bad enough (and with a closer look), a police officer was driving it. All I have to say, is that would have sucked. I would have lost the race, and gotten a major ticket (plus lost my license). March 23rd, 2000 My Impreza got its front vents (used to be orange), painted today. Not bad, they look much better then the stock orange. **still waiting on stromung exhaust! March 24th, 2000 Sent in order for Impreza Seat Belt (shoulder) pads. One set of Red, and one set of Black (hey the people in the back need to look cool too, right?) cost was $15 per pair. Thanks Mike Moffa! March 27th, 2000 I noticed that my stock exhaust began to sound louder today. Its not intrusive, but it is noticeable. The car has 10600 miles on it as of now. March 28th, 2000 Stromung exhaust is on its way! And I bought a radar detector today. Other than that, not much. March 31st, 2000 Got pulled over for the first time in my young life. Was doing 113mph, in a 55. Did not get clocked, but got a fine for "Obedience to Traffic Control Devices". I know, I am very lucky. By the way, I didnt have my radar dector plugged in. Guess it wouldnt have helped anyway. April 4th, 2000 Sent the check in for my fine, shitty deal. Anyway, one a good note, my Stromung Exhaust came today, around noon. I took the stock exhaust off, which by the way is like new. All in all, it was about a 15min install, no major problems what-so-ever. In comparison to the stock exhaust, there is a noise increase of about, 220%. Pretty nice huh? As far as perfomance gains, I will get use of the G-Tec on Friday. Thats about it for now...
April 5th, 2000 While purchasing Cigarettes at the local Cigarette shop, a mid-aged lady asked me what 555 stood for. I proceded to tell her about Subaru's former sponser, and the brand of Cigarettes overseas. She actually knew what I was talking about! She works for the company that makes them! I had this dirty little grin on my face..."so you gonna import me a pack?"..hehe April 8th, 2000 Not only does my car appeal to the younger crowd, it also seems to appear to a somewhat REALLY old crowd. On my way to the mall this afternoon, it seems I got the (thumbs up) signal from, two different ladies, driving Non-Subaru vehicles. Both were over 80 I might mention. They had some of the biggest smiles I have ever seen an old person have. April 15th, 2000 My car gets around way to much. I have spent over $60 this week alone in gas. My feet are about dead. I have hit 12000 miles. (on the 14th) I raced a 6cyl Mustang, with exhaust today on the highway. I was right behind him, everytime he got on it. Pretty funny considering mines a NA 4cyl. And some things were going on with the girl, so I beat the shit out of my car. April 20th, 2000 Took my car up an old trail going mostly straight up the mountain (to a party). I didnt go fast as the road (if you can call it that) was real rocky, and I didnt feel the need for a re-alignment or blown tire. Everything was A-OK, thought I did have 2 rocks scrape bottom. Nothing seems scathed. April 22th, 2000 If you can imagine a paved driveway, about 6 miles long, going to the top of a mountain, with a small straight away, then S turn, small straight away, then S turn ... ok you get the idea. Well, there is no room for error, unless you like trees. Well, I raced my car (with 1 guy in the front, and 4 girls in the back) the whole way up. It felt like a rally race, getting sideways ect. ... only on pavement. Oh, we were heading to some huge mansion that is supposed to be haunted... dont ask... April 24th, 2000 My car hit 13000 miles today. And at the end of the day it had 13260. ? ? ? April 26th, 2000 I had my window banner changed from the dull yellow, to white. Had the 4 star pattern on the banner changed to the new, 6 star pattern. Got the rally car style, side window decals displaying the word Subaru in white, with the black background out on. The car has less yellow, and seems more even in that respect. May 8th, 2000 I got my Pirelli P7000 Super Sports put on today. I love them. There %100 better than stock tires. And I can notice a much improved handling in the twisties. May 14thth, 2000 My car hit 15000 miles today. My car is so dirty. There are so many bugs smashed on it. Yuck! May 19th, 2000 Today was the first day of the car show. It was raining in the morning. There was about 4 of us there. It was not even half as packed as last year, cause of the weather. May 20th, 2000 Brandi and I went to the show this morning, meeting up with a total of 32 other Subaru's. It was a great day, full of things to see and do. May 26th, 2000 My car hit 1600 miles today. Damn... |
